Model Installer |
The Model Installer is able to pickup a model from a cart, move it to the balance, and install it. And vice versa. During testing, the model installer is collapsed and raised above the wind flow. The model installer has 3 axes for positioning the Claw: · Xmi · Ymi · Zmi. The Zmi is physically a tilt function. By compensation in the Y-direction, a vertical Z move is achieved. The model is lifted in 4 points, located underneath the bottom of the model. The Model Installer operates in a Semi-automated mode, where it moves in predefined sequences. The automation is based on laser signals for ensuring that the model is in place before executing a lift. The geometry of each model is saved in a file. When a new model is loaded in the GUI, the predefined sequences are adjusted to the geometry of that particular model. |
